Details
Wide-brimmed fedora hat in velvet felt finished with a matching bow. Originally created for Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, this hat caused a sensation. It was worn in mink colour, on the occasion of the bank holidays, over a long dress. Queen Mathilde wanted a fedora hat in these proportions and was offered our new ‘Borsamalia’ design with the felt bow. This hat is available in different colours and with different trimmings such as the bow or the ribbon. This fedora hat is a timeless creation of the House. To be worn in autumn or winter, it will accompany your outfits with elegance.

The fedora hat: its history
Â
The fedora hat has always been considered a classic in the world of hats.
Â
At the origin, the name fedora comes from the hat worn by the actress Sarah Bernhardt when she played the heroine of the play “Fedora” by Victorien Sardou.
Â
Unavoidable, it is also worn by many actors like Humphrey Bogart in the film Casablanca, or Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones. It is also found in the film Borsalino by Alain Delon and Jean-Paul Belmondo.
Â
Finally, the fedora hat is a timeless accessory: it is worn by both men and women in everyday life.
