This unisex fedora hat is made of parabuntal straw, the most beautiful of all materials. Moreover, this straw has become very rare. The brim can be longer or shorter according to the demand. The trim of this hat can be adapted according to the customer’s wishes. It can be made of parasisal straw in black or navy blue.

    The fedora hat: its history

The fedora hat has always been considered a classic in the world of hats.

The origin of the name « fedora » comes from the hat worn by the actress Sarah Bernhardt when she played the heroine of Victorien Sardou’s play Fedora.

Worn by many actors such as Humphrey Bogart in the film Casablanca, in the film Borsalino by Alain Delon and Jean-Paul Belmondo, by Harrison Fort in the Indiana Jones film series, by Michael Jackson in Billie.

This hat has become an essential fashion accessory. This headgear is now worn by both men and women.

    The history of the parabuntal

Parabuntal is a rigid vegetable fibre from the Philippines. This fibre comes from a shrub from which the fibres are removed from the pith of the trunk with tweezers. The fibres are then woven together one by one. Indeed, it is a meticulous work of braiding which can take more than one year to make a capeline. Moreover, this skill is passed on from generation to generation. Unfortunately, this sublime material is no longer produced. The House of Fabienne Delvigne is fortunate to still have a few products. It is with infinite honour that she works this exceptional material.

Packaging of the natural straw fedora hat

First , Maison Fabienne Delvigne carefully wraps the hats in tissue paper, and then places them in a black hat box designed by herself. These boxes are made to measure for the House. Then we place a certificate of authenticity next to the hat.
