Fabienne Delvigne creates Christmas magic at the Hotel Amigo in Brussels.
For the Christmas festivities, Hotel Amigo invited Fabienne Delvigne to bring her subtle touch as a designer to the prestigious palace's Christmas tree. Enthusiastic and always ready to take on creative challenges, the milliner drew her inspiration from nature, noble materials, and children's stories.
A stone's throw from Brussels' Grand-Place, the cold December wind blows down Rue de l'Amigo. An elegant woman, well-wrapped beneath a large ochre hat adorned with feathers, makes her way towards the entrance of the luxury hotel of the same name. Carrying a hatbox, she smiles at the doorman who gallantly opens the door for her…
No sooner is she inside than our joyful young lady is drawn to the majestic fir tree standing proudly in the middle of the hall, waiting to be decorated. Intimidated, she approaches the impressive tree. Gently, her hat begins to tremble. She discreetly looks around: nobody! It's just her and the spruce. And suddenly, her hat darts towards the fir tree. It begins to twirl around it, embracing it with a long garland made of the same natural fibre material it's composed of and adorned with the same feathers. The young woman can't believe her eyes...
The fir tree, surrounded by mythical black hat boxes bearing the Fabienne Delvigne mark, is adorned with a deconstructed hat that forms a large crown of natural, golden ochre-coloured fibres. «The garland, magically emerging from the hat, will be like the trail of Tinkerbell's magic wand,» exclaims the milliner, driven by the wonder that guides her creations.
With its ethereal design, this innovative Christmas tree promises to be a unique creation straight out of a fairy tale. A first for the two renowned maisons – not to be missed!
To discover until 2 January 2018 at the Hotel Amigo Rue de l’Amigo 1-3, 1000 Brussels
