Headwear

An iconic hat between elegance and tradition

Whether it's a wedding, an event, or a more intimate life moment, these creations offer accessible, comfortable, and profoundly feminine elegance.
Another way to wear the hat, closer, more enveloping, but still resolutely couture.

La Toque

Inspired by the Russian hats, these rooms are distinguished by their Enveloping and elegant allure.

Carried out in Angora, they offer a exceptional softness, while bringing warmth and comfort.
Easy to wear, they sit naturally on the head and are perfectly suited to winter styles.

Including the variations black, ... they embody understated, timeless elegance.

The Pillbox (Kennedy)

Pillbox hats, also known as Kennedy hats, are iconic pieces of feminine elegance.
Worn at the back of the head or slightly forward, they subtly frame the face.
Appreciated for their discretion and ease of wear, they are perfect for those seeking an elegant look.

The Turban

The turbans are crafted from a selection of different fabrics and feature a lightweight inner structure—a signature feature of Maison—which creates volume and enhances the silhouette, even for those with finer hair.
Particularly favoured by elegant personalities such as Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands and Her Majesty Queen Mathilde, turbans embody a look that is both contemporary and timeless.
They can be worn at.

Chef’s Hats reimagined by Maison Fabienne Delvigne

Chef’s hats, pillbox hats and turbans hold a special place in Fabienne Delvigne’s Maison world.
These creations, both elegant, easy to wear and deeply feminine, offer a refined alternative to more structured hats.

Like all items in the Maison collection, the toques, pillbox hats and turbans can be made to measure, with a choice of materials, colours and styles, to complement your personal style and outfit perfectly.
Each creation becomes uniquely yours, subtly designed to reveal your allure.

Frequently Asked Questions about Headwear

How long does it take to create a bespoke wedding hat?

Creating a bespoke wedding hat at Fabienne Delvigne takes between six and eight weeks from the approval of the design proposal. We therefore recommend booking an appointment at least three months before the wedding date to allow sufficient time for fittings and any necessary adjustments. For urgent orders, Maison can sometimes speed up the process — please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss the options.

What is the price of a bespoke wedding hat?

Bespoke creations from Maison Fabienne Delvigne start at €350 for the simplest designs. The price varies depending on the complexity of the design, the materials chosen and the time required for production. Each quote is personalised and drawn up during the initial consultation. Maison also offers a range of high-end ready-to-wear pieces available in-store and via the online shop, starting from €180.

Should I bring my wedding dress to the first appointment?

It is strongly recommended that you bring your wedding dress – or high-resolution photos of it as a second best – to your first appointment. The headdress is created in direct dialogue with the dress: its colours, materials, style, and silhouette are determining factors for its creation. If your dress has not yet been chosen, you can still make an appointment for an initial creative consultation.

Does Maison Fabienne Delvigne deliver outside Belgium?

Yes. Maison Fabienne Delvigne delivers throughout Europe, including to France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Customers who are unable to travel to Brussels for fittings can benefit from a remote consultation service (via video) and secure delivery. On-site appointments are also available on request for large orders.

Can one order bespoke wedding hats for the guests at the same time as the bride's hat?

Absolutely. Maison Fabienne Delvigne regularly offers to create coordinated outfits for the bride and her guests — the mother of the bride, bridesmaids and close family members. This approach ensures perfect visual harmony during the ceremony and in the photographs. A preferential rate applies to group orders.

What wedding hat to choose according to your face shape?

The choice of the ideal wedding hat largely depends on your face shape. For a round face, opt for an asymmetrical or upturned brim headpiece which elongates the silhouette. For a square face, curved shapes and floral embellishments soften the features. For a long face, a wide-brimmed hat creates visual balance. For an oval face, all shapes are possible. During your appointment at Fabienne Delvigne, the designer will analyse your face shape and guide you towards the most flattering styles.

Can a bespoke wedding hat with a veil be made?

Yes. The veil is one of the most popular embellishments for bespoke bridal hats. Maison Fabienne Delvigne works with various types of veils — fine mesh, embroidered tulle, Brussels lace — and incorporates them in a bespoke manner into each creation. The length, density and positioning of the veil are determined according to the client’s body shape and the overall style of the headpiece.
